INTERPRETATIONS Half dozen
A Juried Fine Art Exhibition & Sale

Exhibition Dates: March ii thru March 30, 2021
Evidence Hours: Tuesday thru Sat, 10am – 4pm
Eligibility: Open up to the member artists of the Arizona Art Brotherhood fellow member Arts Organizations
Location: A hybrid exhibition with virtual and physical presence. The show will exist exhibited at WHAM West Gallery – 16560 N. Dysart Rd., Surprise 85378 (623)-584-8311 and on the Arizona Art Alliance Website. It will also be promoted through Social Media platforms.

March half dozen, 2021 | 4:30-6:30pm: Reception & Awards Presentation. Details to be appear. Due to Covid 19 we volition determine whether the reception is in person, virtual or a combination of both as it gets closer to the engagement.

Meet the Jurors:

Christopher Jagmin
Christopher Jagmin studied graphic design and printmaking at the School of Fine Arts at Indiana University. Recently his work was exhibited at Lisa Sette Gallery in Phoenix, AZ, and The Tucson Museum of Art for the Arizona Biennial (third fourth dimension). In 2020, Christopher produced an on-site sound piece of work for SMoCA, and was selected for a 7-week residency with The Chautauqua School of Art. In 2019, he attended a month-long residency at The Studios at MASS MoCA,. In 2017 was selected for an 8-week, Public Art Residency in Scottsdale, working with that community. He is a recipient of a 2017 Contemporary Forum Artist Grant, a 2018 Arizona Commission grant, and exhibited at the Phoenix Art Museum. In 2021, he is planning an exhibition along with artists, Ann Morton + Safwat Saleem at Modified Arts Gallery, and is currently completing blueprint piece of work for three City Parks with Tempe Public Art.

MARY MEYER
Mary Meyer creates mixed media works that investigate how the human being form impacts, and is mirrored within, the natural globe. Her practice is driven past an interest in phytology, biodiversity, anatomical structures, and the intuitive study of form. She is strongly influenced by a background in traditional stone carving, and uses meditative processes and materials to explore stillness, connectedness, and the physicality that is slowly diminishing from daily life. Meyer exhibits her work regionally and nationally at venues such every bit Phoenix Fine art Museum, Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, and Tucson Museum of Fine art where she recently received the Pat Mutterer Award at the 2020 AZ Biennial. She holds a BFA in sculpture from Arizona State University and a MFA from the University of Arizona, where she was awarded the MFA Fellowship. Meyer has served every bit a Faculty Associate at ASU and Scottsdale Community College, and is a recipient of the Phoenix Art Museum Gimmicky Forum Artists Grant. Her work is represented in public and private collections nationally and internationally.
